Find the full curriculum in the shop! Each level represents a different age group, providing a complete athletics curriculum from Lower Key Stage 2 (age 7-9) to Key Stage 4 (age 14-16). At each level, the lesson plan builds on the knowledge of the previous lesson to provide a structured learning journey throughout each event. Each lesson plan comes with teaching resources, including technical models, peer assessment and feedback cards, performance standards, and technique posters. The lesson plans are interactive and have a video link where international athlete and coach, Martin Brockman will talk you through the lesson and demonstrate the exercises so you can see the lesson plan in action and use it to improve your understanding or use it as an interactive tool during the lesson. Alongside the PDF version, you’ll receive the interactive curriculum for keynote which allows you to navigate and view the resources.

The KS2 Peer Assessment Card allow students to analyze their technique and offer a framework to give feedback to their peers. The event technique is divided into 3 sections, each with 3 key teaching points that can be used to guide your lesson and provides a guide for peer-to-peer assessment. The Feedback Worksheet allows for positive reinforcement of good technique and an opportunity to provide constructive feedback for improving performance. The Feedback Worksheet comes with GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE performance standards to give an indication of what we might expect from our students and give them the opportunity to assess their performance.
